Eye Exam

A comprehensive exam including a complete health evaluation of the eye and a prescription for eye glasses.

Annual exams are recommended so we can closely monitor the health of your eyes, as well as how clearly you can see at different distances. Early intervention of visual and ocular health problems is essential to ensure that you have the best possible long-term visual outcome. We recommend eye exams for patients of all ages, starting at 5 yrs.

Contact Lens Exam

A contact lens exam is comprised of 2 parts: a regular eye exam to provide an accurate prescription for glasses, and a contact lens fitting with evaluation to determine a contact lens prescription.

Contrary to popular belief, a contact lens exam is not the same as a regular exam, because the contacts need to be correctly fitted to the curvature of your eye. An incorrect prescription could actually cause your vision to worsen and result in a myriad of other complications.

Contact Lens Fitting

For patients who already have a current eye glasses prescription (3 months old or less) and need a contact lens prescription only. This includes a contact lens fitting & evaluation resulting in a contact lens prescription.

We fit a variety of contact lens modalities: single vision, astigmatism, multifocal and monovision contacts. New wearers will undergo a training to determine how to put them in and take them out, and how to take care of them.

Medical Office Visit

A medical office visit allows our doctors to evaluate, diagnose and treat various ocular emergencies such as red eyes, eye irritation, embedded foreign bodies, sudden vision loss, and contact lens-related complications, to name a few.

Optomap Retinal Scan

We now offer high-resolution retinal imaging in addition to the traditional retinal evaluation. This is a non-invasive procedure that takes a digital picture of the back of your eye and allows the doctor to see a much broader and detailed view of the overall health of the eye. It can detect the presence of retinal lesions that can be present at any age without any symptoms, such as retinal holes and tears, in addition to other eye diseases such as macular degeneration, diabetes, hypertension and even cancer.

It may help the doctor detect problems more quickly, and does not have any of the visual side effects of the traditional dilation drops such as blurry vision and light sensitivity. It is a valuable tool and is recommended by our doctors as part of your yearly exam.
